I actually agree with Kobe on this one. After getting into the paint and around the rim, Nash often give up easy baskets and he kicks it out to somebody in the perimeter.
I understand he is unselfish and all, but sometimes you gotta take the easy gimme's.
There is such a thing as over passing but it's still better to be in over pass mode.. compared to never passing and going 1 on 1 all the time. At least with over passing there is still a chance for an open shot.. the biggest problem then becomes the shot clock.
I guess it would be cool if Nash was more aggressive. It might help this particular team just because they are awful. But in general he should be a pass first pass second.

except on this lakers team, nash is the only good shooter off spot ups. therefore it would make more sense for kobe to pass to nash for a shot then somehting like nash passing to metta for a shot.

It does make more sense for this team but that is because the team is terrible. Ideally you would have good shooters at guard and SF. And big men without butter fingers.
