Where did the pejorative nickname of the Los Angeles Fakers come from?

Flakers makes more sense. Can only be used every 20 years or so on average.

Makes sense with a lot of their fans. They have tons of bandwagon, or fake, fans of their team.

Fakers because they are located in hollywood where everyone is fake and it rhymes with lakers. It makes perfect sense.

Rreally? You replace an L with an F and you got Fakers. I don't call the lakers the fakers, but it isn't like coming up with that derogatory nickname was hard.
