Knicks coach Mike Woodson swears Rasheed Wallace will return this season but couldn’t give an answer when. Wallace, out since Dec. 13, will miss today’s game against the Pistons, the team he won an NBA title with.
He has a stress reaction in his left foot that Knicks doctors fear could turn into a stress fracture if he comes back too soon, according to sources. A stress fracture likely would end his season. According to an ESPN New York.com report, the Knicks are getting more fearful he could be done for the season.
But Woodson said yesterday he hasn’t had any conversations with Knicks general manager Glen Grunwald about signing a free agent such as Kenyon Martin. Wallace was scheduled to start running this week, but that hasn’t yet happened. Woodson originally thought Wallace was returning after the West Coast trip Jan. 1.
Why so he can get hurt too? lol I wouldnt mnd the signing but I'd rather some young legs. Maybe a guy like Sean Williams. He can rebound, block shots and run the floor.

Cool......sign the guys no one wants, who thinks he great.
Fam, why you love requesting bums that other teams dont want so much?

Because I know how to evaluate talent based on a guys ability and not whether he's been offered a job already. We've gone through this before and I'm sure it will continue this offseason. Just because a guy doesn't have a job, doesn't mean he can't play. And FYI, we worked out Sean Williams in the offseason. Guys don't just forget how to play. I just don't get how a guy getting paid @ least six figures can't figure out that having a team full of old guys would suffer from injury issues. Seems like common sense to me. I don't know how he got you guys to drink the Kool-Aid but Rameek and I are the only ones who didn't partake it seems lol.
