His playoff performance was really good, the kid showed chutzpah, basketball IQ and lots of heart. His trade was unexpected and a bit disapointing but I'm happy to him now. Its performance is even better as a starter.

Vasquez never played for the Grizzlies last year. He was traded for Pondexter like a day before the season started. He played a decent amount his rookie year though, including some big minutes in the playoffs. Honestly, his inability to keep up with Westbrook and Maynor and his defensive rotations are what got him traded. The grizzlies needed another Forward and Hornets needed a PG but still, Hollins was sill upset about some defensive lapse in the OKC series.
