This is literally the only reason why I see people upset about the Kings leaving. They were a terrible franchise. All they had going for them was almost making the Finals and Mitch Ritchmond playing on god-awful teams.

Durant will probably be viewed as an enemy in Seattle by the time OKC plays them in their first game. Not his fault, but anyone wearing a Thunder jersey won't be welcome there....

No more than any other player wearing an opposing jersey..
Re: Are You Happier for The Sonics or Feel Worse About the Kings
Retiring a jersey for a player who played 1 year for you ,who was then was part of a heated removal of the team to a different location is a tough sell.
Re: Are You Happier for The Sonics or Feel Worse About the Kings
But while we're on that note, I expect the Sonics to have a complete overhall of the manegment and coaching, and I think that'll benifit Tyreke and Cousins greatly. I could see them trying to pry an executive from the Spurs, but we already took Dennis Lindsey whiles the Thunder took Presti. Coaching wise I could see them targeting an experienced coach like Jeff Van Gundy or Stan to really displicine the team and give them a direction going forward. I think this move will benifit a lot of kings players, and I think they'll be back to winning ways realtivley shortly after the move

I'm happier for Seattle, I think. Not many Kings fans around anymore (apologies to those that have stuck around), but plenty of Seattle fans, despite them not having a f*cking franchise anymore. Your entire team packs up and leaves and you're still around 5+ years later? That's loyalty.

What do you live in Seattle? Yes I wouldn't be surprised if there are more Seattle fans there then Kings fans.

Anyone disagree?
Who knows bro, but it's gonna be interesting, indeed. The 2013 Supersonics that are actually the Kings, and the Thunder that are actually the Sonics

What is wrong with living in Oklahoma???
Don't they have a strong economy and safe communities, that seems like a paradise compared to the tent cities in California. Heck, don't most consider Cali a failed state nowadays???
