No offense to Queens fans, but im a whole lot happier about the Sonics coming back.

The team *was* stolen back (though the owner is being up front this time), but I never really cared for the Kings.

Maybe Sacramento can get the Thunder after OKC fans stop showing up when KD leaves

Umm if the Kings do become Sonics, how about the retired jerseys? Will the retired jerseys of Sonics apply to the new team or the Kings? And what if there's a current player wearing a Sonics retired jersey number?

The Kings will cease to exist. Their history will not belong to any franchise and the new Seattle team will take all the Seattle retired numbers, etc. and pretend they belong to them. That seems logical.

Anyone disagree?

Yeah this makes sense, and then if a current Kings player wears a jersey that was retired in Supersonics history, he'd have to change the number?

I'm indifferent to it all. Pro sports are a business and if you want to keep your team, keep high attendance and good facilities. I never understood all the people crying when Seattle lost their team.... it was their fault. Follow the aforementioned recipe and why would the team leave?

Its kind of funny because when the Sonics were leaving people were legit upset. Now that the Kings are moving, no one really cares aside from those living in Sacramento.

Neither. It's not about feeling happy nor sad. It's about making money, which is what is most important.


Let's not forget that the Sacramento Kings used to play in Kansas City.

did you watch ball during the early 2000s? their rivalry with the lakers was what got me interested in the NBA

I see, they should keep 35 on hold too since Kevin Durant used to play in Seattle and was clearly one of their best players in franchise history.
