They'll have to ban Kobe from doing it first before it gets called a travel. It's already a tough shot as it is, so the refs let it slide, but yeah its almost impossible to do that reverse pivot with only adjusting the pivot foot, it changes position by coming off the floor (even if it is slightly).
Kyrie Irving is definitely lookin like an up n' coming Chris Paul.....great ball handler....great basketball IQ, can score and dish the ball at a superstar level and can drive by anyone or hit a jump shot anywhere on the court.
I can see him going to the same team Dwight Howard lands along with another star to create another Super Team to make a play for a Championship.
i think the most encouraging part of kyries game came just into the 3rd quarter.
the cavs came out flat, lillard was getting into the lane and dishing (kyries defense was pretty poor), and the blazers cut the lead from i think 17 tp 10. cavs all timeout, and the first play, kyrie turns the corner from the pick and roll, and finds tristan for an easy dunk. then seconds into the next blazers possession, kyrie sneaks up on wes matthews and steals the ball, and gets an uncontested layup.
it was great to see kyrie come up with some big plays, and get the cavs going with his defense, and playmaking, rather than just his scoring.

Right. Hopefully, these are signs he is learning how to win, which is a skill in the NBA just like scoring or passing. Knowing when your team needs a lift (he was very vocal throughout the second half), when to kick up the intensity, when you may be able to dial it back a few notches, etc.
I've now watched this kid tear Rajon Rondo a new one twice in two seasons.
Unstoppable.
You say that as if Rondo is some amazing defender, he always gets destroyed by quick, elite penetrating PGs. Rose was doing it last 2 years, Kyrie took over those duties after the injury.
I wanna see Kyrie vs some better defenses, people guard him 1 on 1 like idiots. It's obvious you gotta put the whole team on him, he is looking like the next D-Rose.

He was also giving bradley ( a so called lock down 1 on 1 defender) the business.
