How many players in the league could have done that move on the fastbreak when they were down by 2 where he went over the defenders head 1v3 and left hand finish so easy?
I was watching the game...Dude is pretty sick..I must admit...
Damn I didn't think I would see another smaller type player as good at finishing with both hands like Tony Parker but damn this kid can finish insane with ethier hand while jumping off the wrong foot to.
It took Lebron 200 games to hit his first game winner. Kyrie has 5 in just 85 games while leading the league in Clutch performance the last 2 years....
While I would like Kyrie Irving to distribute and set up easy buckets for his teammates (avg under 6 assists). What he is doing offensively is amazing. Not just the stats, its how and when he takes over games on offense. To close out and hit big shots in a short career is huge. He's someone you want with the ball in his hands for the final shot without hesistation and he can score at the rim, midrange or beyond the arc. Some guys you cringe when they jack up a deep 3 like he did for the win. Its hit or miss, but with Kyrie? You are confident in that shot no matter how it falls because you feel it may go on...usually does.
Irving may not be a guy who will avg a ton of assists. I'm thinking 7-8 for a career is reasonable given his talent scoring the ball. But I'm willing to overlook, pass up criticizing that for the fact dude is killing any defender, or team defense in his path. The balls to take that shot that far away. He knew it was going in, his teammates knew and I'm sure most of the fans did. Crazy.
