I don't wanna sound like a Debby Downer or something but this IS a RB in a Shanahan scheme. We don't know if he's another Olandis Gary, Mike Anderson, Tatum Bell, Roy Helu type guy yet.
Morris rushed for over 1600 yards this season putting him second only behind Peterson. The only player to rush for more yards in Shanahan's system is Terrell Davis (and Clinton Portis rushed for 122 yards a game for 13 games one season). Shanahan's system has a great blocking scheme, but it doesn't just automatically churn out players who run like Alfred Morris has this season, it takes a sizable amount of talent too. In fact, only two rookie running backs have rushed for more yards than Morris has this season (Eric Dickerson and George Rogers, even Jim Brown didn't have this effective of a rookie season). If it weren't for all the hype Griffin, Luck, and Wilson have been getting this season, Morris would be the runaway favorite for offensive rookie of the year (he probably should be anyway).
Tony Romo just made me feel absolutely horrible for making fun of Mark Sanchez. At least Sanchez got the Jets to the AFC title game in back-to-back seasons.
They both weren't win or go home. You would have been a wildcard with a week 17 loss.
And it's because they play in plenty, often in week 17. 44-6?
Who cares about Ryan? He's 6 years younger. How's that a fair comparison?
They were both win or go home, we were the WC with that win.
And I'm not comparing him to Ryan, I am pointing out that no one knows that stat on anyone other QB but Romo...all QBs that don't have a ring would have a bad "win or go home game" record.
The fact that Romo has played in 6? Could be seen as a good thing BTW

The Jet defense got them there, not Sanchez
This simple way of viewing a QBs success by what the TEAM does has to stop, its pure stupidity.
Where in the world did I say he didn't I basically said RG3 outplayed both of them this year leading them to the playoffs.
You took a shot and said Eli embarrasingly lost and put him in the same sentence as Romo. It's like five posts ago. It also kind of takes a shot at RG3 - he's been freaking awesome, it sounds like Romo and Eli just sucked and this rookie outplayed them.

The Eagles were the wildcard. The first round game was in Dallas because you were the division winner.
Not seeing how the total # of those games makes a difference. If he had played in 20 of them it wouldn't make a difference unless he was winning them.
He choked in the most important game of the season. There's no argument about that. I respect Romo's talent. I think he's the most slippery, hard to tackle QB in the pocket. He makes plays out of nothing. He racks up stats.
But he choked when the pressure was on. He had 1 INT in the last 4 weeks and has 3 (including one that ended any chance of a comeback) in the most pressure packed game of the season. That throw wasn't even close to being an okay decision. He deserves all the blame he's going to get from the media and fans.
He blew it.
