You can tell Kobe has grown a lot as a leader. He has previously mostly led by example, playing heart out night in and night out.
Now, as in his interview w/ SAS, Kobe is quick to take responsibility. When asked about Dwight's FT shooting, he does agree that it's a problem, but only AFTER he points out that he has been the culprit of another one of the Lakers glaring problems - Turnovers.
He also quickly points out that he's had defensive lapses and Dwight was right in calling him out on it.
Growth.
It's really remarkable how much Kobe has changed over the years. He was totally different at the beginning of his career.
Looking at other superstars in the past, none have shown as much growth or change as Kobe has over the years. It's true that a lot of superstars haven't needed to grow as leaders, but Kobe recognized that leading is part of the game. He's a true student of the game.
