Default Can Stan Van Gundy get some credit now?

He has made Dwight Howard look a lot better defensively than he really is.

Key to Dwight being successful is putting three point shooters around him and a pick n roll PG. Dwight would've been perfect in Brooklyn.

Orlando deserves the credit for building a good line up for him. It only went down hill after they caved into Dwight wanted his buddies around which was when they re obtained Turk (Dwight was complaining his friend was let go without consulting him), Arenas (dwight and gilbert are long time friends and Arenas delayed his decisions last year to try and re sign with whatever new team dwight landed on) and big baby (dwight's list had him on it)

the offense is not run through Dwight anymore. Dwight is in a similar situation as Bosh in MIA

It also doesn't help the Lakers look like utter shit defensively from all positions they're terrible rotating and they switch so easily( like the knicks last year) easy mismatches which= more shot options and offensive rebounding opportunities. The Lakers team in general have a lack of passion or energy they show some for like a quarter or two but then it either fades or it's too late by the time they decide to start playing with some.

Even 100% healthy Dwight will struggle with the amount of work leaking through Kobe and Nash.

I haven't watched them play this season, but Dantoni's record as a defensive coach is not perfect either. They need time to gel together. i.e chemistry is lacking.
