He is the biggest non factor on the nets team, probably the least effective coach in the league. During the past 18 games e has done absolutely nothing. I mean, nothing! The players win or lose games simply on their talents and instincts. His impact on the team is zero, if not negative. His only contribution was to destroy marshon Brooks, probably telo too.
Whenever the opposing team goes on A run or the nets shoot poorly, Avery Johnson just stands on the floor staring at the scoreboard helplessly. He knows how to call timeout every now and then, something a high school coach can do too.
If losing a few games gets him fired, I will be all for it. It's getting exponentially harder to stand his nonsense nowadays.

Avery needs to fix the half by half problem. The Nets need to play for more than 24 minutes. This is the most irritating thing for me. The problem is their first half offense is so much different then their 2nd half. The Nets attack, pass, and use screens to get great shots in the first half. In the 2nd we just go into stupid mode.
Homie chill the hell out.yall are one of the best teams in the league with a struggling joe johnson........a bench thats average at best its certainly not better than the knicks bench or miami ( on most nights) but its decent.why u throwin avery under the bus?cuz he black? What are you, stupid? 'cause hes black? lol. Byron Scott is black, yet hes one of my favorite coaches. Avery Johnson just isnt capable of coaching this team due to a lack of skills and tactics, he needs to go.
It's time to pull the trigger, Avery Johnson clearly has lost control of this team, Deron's publicly criticizing the team's 'System' proves to be a very good sign of how he no longer has the players support. Let's do it, cant say how good we will be if we get a new coach, but we are doomed without a change.
