First finals matchup the year before, Rondo was playing with one arm, which left little chance of Celtics winning that series. Then last year, Celtics had Bradley, green, wilcox missing, no courtnee lee or Jason terry, and Allen was playing hurt. Miami had bosh out for half the series but Celtics had more personnel missing.

Excuses will always be excuses. How about this...Boston had a 3-2 lead then proceeded to sh!t the bed @ home while LeBron dropped 45-15 & 5....

LOL. They are borderline 8th seed right now and are old and injury prone...there is no way they are "taking it easy".
And if they are "taking it easy", that's the dumbest sh*t i've ever seen, because they are going to play Miami in the first round if they stay at the 8th seed.
I don't think there is any NBA teams taking it easy. Celtics aren't neccessarily taking it easy, they are just not kicking into a more intense mode which is saved for when it is required later on in the season. Their core is old, they are waiting around for the playoffs, very hard to channel in during the reg season, when you know your team is built for the playoffs. They will be fine, I expect them to finish around 5th or 6th seed by the end of the year. Heat fans should still be very wary of them, good coach and good players.
They aren't taking it easy but they're not playing the absolute hardest. Veteran teams do a good job of masking this. Judging by Docs substitutions, He seem to rather balance out minutes and take a couple losses along the way. KG has looked pissed because you can tell he wants to play more.
This team will be probably 3-5 games over .500 by the break, and then be 10-14 games over .500 like they usually do.
They do get up for big opponents though. SA owns us. Since DUncan has been there I dont think we ever really beat those guys. 2008 Celtics still lost to the Spurs. They just own us.
