barnes > beal and t rob for sure and waiters too imo.

Barnes + irving would've made a lethal duo.

Barnes was picked #7. That ain't that far out of top 5. In fact it's only 2 spots.

If he were picked in the 20-30 range this thread would make some sense. Right now it makes none.

No iso game?
Can't create off the dribble?

Watch a damn Warriors game, people.

He was struggling in the earlier games because he played so much off the ball. The Warriors trusting him in iso situations is the biggest reason his play has drastically picked up as of late.

Lately he's been taking defenders down on the block and making them look like fools.

Really diverse offensive game. IMO from all the rookies I have seen, probably the second best offensive player in this draft class up to this point.

I love how people watch a couple games (or youtube mixes) and assume that is how good/bad a player is.

the point i wanted to make is those teams that passed up on him ... surely wasted their pick ...

barnes just had 10 points but 11 rebounds kevin durant has been in the league for quite sometime and for a guy his size he cant even get atleast 6 boards per game.. am not saying barnes will be better.. just his effort on winning is second to none...

he was the 2nd SF taken. he was picked where he should have been imo. He could have been a higher pick if he showed some balls in the tournament last year. He'll be a solid player, he's lucky he plays in GS offense

I don't like the fact he pulls up on his drives at times and takes the jumper instead of finishing strong at the rim. He has a polished offensive game, just lacking a quick first step.
Since that is the case, he might be better off putting another 10lbs of bulk on and really driving to the hoop a lot and finishing near the ring. Then again, his outside game is very nice.

Kevin Durant has not averaged under 6RPG outside of his rookie season. Nothing under 6.5RPG since then. He's averaging 9.4RPG now. So what the hell are you talking about?

I agree. I think that he was drafted in the right spot with the right team. Low pressure. Low expectations. Perfect spot.
