I agree with this.
Personally I take the Heat with Kobe/Dwight over the Heat with LeBron/Wade.
However if you hand build a team for LeBron/Wade then that team is going to be better with them. The reason I take Dwight/Kobe is because they compliment eachother much better.
Re: who would you rather have. kobe/dwight or lebron/wade
What are you saying? 2 vs 2 or them with their respective teams at the moment? If so, it's Lebron by a mile because even if Lebron loses the first 2 matchups, he's pretty much guaranteed the next 3 with a very old Kobe or retired Kobe. Plus, Dwight's mental game is softer than Lebron's and that is saying a lot. 2 vs 2 yeah, I got Kobe's team.
You talk about Kobe's longevity and that's great! But being 35 by the end of the season doesn't really give you a valid argument since that's not an age you'll believe he'll be free of injuries all year round even with no signs of it now. He wasn't particularly a healthy player in his younger years until AFTER his 9th season and what do you know, Wade is entering his 10th season...transitioning to be the post-30-Jordan they model their games after. So maybe Wade can be more of a healthy player from here on out? He definitely has the skills to get there with his post moves, footwork, and improving midrange game as shown early on. It's just unfortunate he stepped on Bosh's foot.
He's played more than 75 games 5 of his first 8 seasons (not counting shortened season). That's something Kobe can't claim even with Shaq there to carry the load. Wade always was the man of his team (that first year with Shaq is debatable). That's more wear and tear for Wade. Now he's finally got a clear cut #1, he can pace himself better to stay healthier.
People talk about Wade and Lebron not complimenting each other but they do...just not in a traditional sense. Like Spoelstra says, it starts with defense and them two are the best help defenders in the league. Putting them together causes havoc for the other team's offense leading them to potential fastbreaks where both of them compliment each other like no other can. The problem is just they are asked to do too much on defense with no rim protector. Wade's gradual learning to cut without the ball and finding open spaces has really improved the fluidity of the offense over the years. I can see them playing their best ball ever together later in the year--peak level.
At the end of the day, it's only been like 10 games so relax. He's missed 3 games because he can. If it wasn't for the team that he has, he'd be playing. I don't care what anyone says, it's a smart move. Let's wait with all this talk until game post allstar break when playoffs is on the horizon.

Lebron playing or guarding 4-5 positions is very factual... not sure what there is to facepalm about... unless you are one of those Lebron cynics...

Kobe and Dwight.
Kobe has been playing amazingly well with Dwight. It almost reminds me of the Shaq and Kobe days. They mesh really well now that they're not playing in such a structured offense.
The only reason why the Lakers aren't winning in blowouts is because of the bench.
Jamison, Meeks, Ebanks, and Blake are all having absolutely horrible years. The only player actually producing off the bench is Hill.
