Default Did we overrate the Clippers too soon???

Certain posters on here were quick to jump on the Nuggets after a few losses this season. As they were predicted by many to be a top team in the West this season...

Soooo, what the fu*k is up with the Clippers?? 4 game losing streak is it??
Losing to the Hornets??

We underrated just how bad Del Negro is.

And CP3 isn't utilizing Blake properly, treating 3 point chuckers as the #1 option.

They're a good team, I'm just not certain how far they can go with that "coach" they have.

Lol Clippersfan made a bet with me that if the Clippers lost to OKC or Memphis in the playoffs he would close his account. He is probably sweating as we speak.

Expecting Jamal Crawford to shoot over 50% from the field and be the team's go to scorer is not an attainable goal.

Seriously, get a new damn coach. What the hell is wrong with this team? You had Jerry Sloan out there waiting for an offer and they do nothing. Instead they retain this clown so they can continue to stunt the growth of their star power forward.

Clippers are the kind of team that performs up to their opponent's level. They will not show the same effort playing vs a crappy team as they do vs the top teams.

Those who actually watch the games knew that they just weren't that good. They just got lucky on their first few games.

I was one of the posters who originally also thought that the clippers were just a fair team. Now, i have the upmost respect for clippersfan86, so I do want to say his team can potentially good. Having said that, I don't think they are the deep team that they were touted to be. They have Ronny Turiaf, Matt Barnes, and Lamar Odom. Then they have a 40 year old Hill. I guess Jamal Crawford is okay but that doesn't make you near the best bench just cuz you have Crawford. If the spurs had him, would they be the deepest bench?

I mean really there are flaws in the Clippers lineup more than anything. Their center is a leaper, but still needs to work on toughening up in the paint and getting boards, and working on his offensive game. Other than that, they are a pretty good squad with some talent led by Paul and Griffin. But they need a lot of work before they are a serious consideration for contention.
