Player that this board has changed your mind about the most?

He's now 15 on my list.
Conversely, the guy against whom the arguments I can't agree with at all are Chamberlain, I feel people are just out against him with no real logic to some of the statements he made.
So KG is one guy about whom the discussions have had a profound impact on me, and Wilt is one guy about whom the discussion hasn't mattered to me.

If we're talking about all-time greats, I'd probably say Bill Russell off the top of my head. Not that I didn't already think very highly of him, but now I have him at a very solid #2 on my all-time list, and the arguments I've seen by the knowledgeable informed posters for him at #1 have given me an even better understanding of just how "far beyond the numbers" his impact went.

Bill Russell. I had him ranked higher, but the more I read from some on this board, I started to see Chamberlain was the far superior player from an individual standpoint.

That's another one. The more I've read about him on here (again, from the posters I respect and that actually provide good insight and something other than a bunch of stats) the more highly I think of him. It's gotten to a point where I go back-and-forth between having him and Kareem at #3. Use to, I'd just automatically lump him and Bird at #5 and #6.

This board didn't change my mind by making a case for him, but the fact that posters overrate this current generation makes me realize how great KAJ was.
I think ranking KAJ as the greatest player to ever play the game is perfectly respectable. The guy is the leagues all-time leading scorer. 3rd in rebounds. 3rd in blocks. Enough said.

I agree, Kareem has a legit case for GOAT, but the reasons in bold should be WAY down the reason for that argument.
