Default Do fans of teams like the Lakers, Heat, Thunder, ect.

Know that refs favor them over teams like the Jazz, Trailblazers, Hawks, Raptors because they are bigger name teams? If so do yall even care or do you condone cheating because it's for your team?

Yes this is known. I do care and don't condone cheating. As a Lakers fan there is nothing I can do personally to change this other than express my distaste for David Stern and his company men at NBA.com, which I have. Lakers basicly got a free chip durring the threepeat due to criminal activity. I don't believe it was an isolated incident.

Deep down I know we need 2 more chips to pass up the Celtics honorably.

wow, a realistic and humble Lakers fan at that too
If only most of the LA fanbase would admit their teams cheating ways as well...

Yeah and no I don't feel it is right but that's the way it is sadly. Big time superstars always get more calls.

Now, you see, that's not what he said. The Lakers don't cheat. The refs SOMETIMES give calls to bigger name teams/players.

Completely different.

It's ugly they protect stars & big market teams but that made NBA more marketable as well.

These days I don't think it's the teams who get the calls but rather the players. Some heat games last season were a joke. Any time Lebron or Wade drove it was an instant foul, some replays have no defenders even near them (remember the phantom foul on Wade in the celtics series?). It's just the way they run the NBA these days to make their star players look like super heros and appear so much better then any one else on the court. The league wants players it can prop up as legends like Jordan was.

I acknowledge it, but there's nothing we can do about it.

I acknowledge it as well. I'm well aware Durant gets trips to the FT line because all he does is drive into traffic, essentially just flails his arms in the air, and the ref calls a foul. And Harden did/does it even more.

But, like some have already said, it has more to do with the players than the teams. Superstar players tend to get superstar calls. It just so happens that the Heat, Lakers, and Thunder have 2+ stars/superstars.

all those teams have players that either drive a lot and that always results in a lot of fouls or players that suck at shooting ft's that get hacked a lot like dwight

While this is true for a lot of it, if you watch the games you still end up with a lot of replays these days with no contact. Commentators even have to bite their tongues and sometimes are admitting they can't see who fouled them or are confused by the person who picked up the foul. If your not seeing this you must be watching the NBA through box scores

yeah but the NBA has always been like that, star players always get the benefit of the doubt, this is nothing new that just started happening.
