Lebron is the best player in the league no question but will not win MVP every year, its just not going to happen melo still has a chance and Btw knicks and heat are tied for first in the east. And you talk about melo cooling down yet he's had 2 40 point games in the last week.
lol
It looks like it's gonna be a 2 man race between LeBron & Durant. LeBron is the favorite right now.
Current Week:
1. LeBron James
2. Tony Parker
3. Kevin Durant
4. Carmelo Anthony
5. Chris Paul
6. James Harden
7. Kobe Bryant
8. Dwyane Wade
9. Russell Westbrook
10. Paul George
Had a hunch Parker just might take that #2 spot from Durant this week as Durant is on a 3 game losing streak and Parker/Spurs continue to play great (best record in the NBA).... im not sure he should get the MVP nod over Durant, but he sure was a bit more of a MVP this week with the success he and his team had compared to Durant and his team.... this is still a tough one..
What say you? Parker > Durant for MVP? Personally i would say no... but then i am also thinking are we maybe underrating Parker if we are truly surprised by him being this much of a MVP contender?
21/3/7 is good enough for 2nd place in the MVP race these days? Really? This is like giving Billups 2nd place in '06. Tony arguably isn't even the Spurs MVP. Lebron and Durant are still well ahead of the field here.

Then who is? Duncan who-missed-a-bunch-of-games-but-the-Spurs-didn't-even-feel-it? If he keeps it up, TP can even overthrow Lebron. After all, Lebron has an MVP candidate teammate and a worse record.

Nash averaged like 15/10 when he WON the MVP in TWO consecutive years. So yes, 21/3/7 is definitely good enough for 2nd place.

Im sure Durant will regain his MVP spot on that mvp ladder at the end of next week, i dont think the losing streak will continue :P
..and oh, unfortunately stats doesnt seem to matter much, you just have to be the clear leader & best player of that team and then what you have to work with around you is heavily considered (a guy leading scrubs to best record will be an automatic MVP for example)... take a look at Spurs last game where Parker made quick work of the Clippers, that was MVP'ish...
This board would lose it if TP won it. They lost it when Rose was 24 and 8 and Lebron didn't have a career year., actually one of his worse in the past five. Lebron is having an off the hook year this year. Durant is having a waaaaay better year than Dwight Howard had in 2011. Hater central will go bananas here.
Everyone's freaking about Parker at #2, but nobody even mentioned the fact that Kobe is in the top 10? What kind of joke is that? Dude can't even lead at minimum 4 HOFers to the playoffs lol.
