Why is odom the only player that could ever contribute off the lakers bench?
Everyone we sign to be a factor off the bench seems to die. I know its early, way early, but I'm just thinking here.
Blake died. Jamison looks like the grim reaper is teabagging him. barnes was a piece of shit. What the ****?

He could create for himself. Guys like Blake and Jamison are better moving around off the ball and finishing plays. It's going to be a problem, but the Lakers should have either Pau or Dwight on the court the majority of the time.

We need someone who actually wants to play on the bench . It doesn't seem like they're as ecstatic as Odom was when he played. Plus he got starter minutes

Yes. Because Maurice Lucas, Michael Cooper, Mychal Thompson, Kobe Bryant, Vlade Divac, Magic, Robert Horry and Ariza all sucked as sixth men. Right?

Well the bench isn't usually good when you have multiple superstars on the same team.

Not with LA. And you're a Lakers fan? You're not a starter if you only start 23 our of a possible 100+ games played.

They started him when he became good enough, plus the whole '09 playoffs

Not having a bench is going to bite the lakers in the ass.

Fact is, he played mostly as a sixth man. And he played well as a sixth man.
They didnīt start him because he all of a sudden became good enough by the way, but because the second unit needed Odom.
