Brooks was all class and is one of the good young coaches out there. He even outcoached the great Pop which was clear to see in the conference finals but did let himself down in the finals. Spo is a very good defensive coach but offensively he has alot to work on. I don't think he should be given too much credit for winning honestly.
If LeBron didnt choked in 2011 finals, Spo would have 2 rings by now as a headcoach.. LeBron cost him 1 ring.. Cant believe Coach Spo find a way to handle LeBron choking and won them 1 ring.. Coach Spo is one of a kind coach.. Future hall of fame indeed..
This guy had a unit of Wade, Beasley, Q-Rich, Carlos ****ing Arroyo, and one legged Jermaine O'Neal as an elite defense in the league. Everyone likes talking shit about Spo, but this guy is an NBA ****ing champion and is better than whoever the **** you like. His defensive gameplans are excelent and there arn't many coaches that put more hours in than Spo does. If you don't respect the work this guy does, your honestly just a little *****.
Spo has never been lower than a 5th seed, been to 2 Finals and won a ring. I give a shit what clips ESPN let us hear, since they don't show any ACTUAL coaching.

Spoelstra may not be good at articulating, but he knows tactics. the 1st year of the Heatles, he obviously had problems. first in reigning in the egos, then in actually making Bosh, Lebron, and Wade follow him. but the year after, when they actually decided to listen to him, they fkng won!
idiots who look down on this guy because he was locked down watching and editing tapes are the biggest doofuses around. imagine what this guy knows from thousands of tapes watched. he did not just watch those tapes for fun you know. he actually studied them and prepared reports and everything.
in short, Spoelstra is a nerd coach. he likes using stats and SCIENCE to coach. while most guys here just love a good rah-rah speech
Scott Brooks is not a good coach at all. He is a good motivator and he gives his players confidence but he is one of the worst X and O coaches in the league with Mike Brown.
Spoelstra is probably the opposite. He seems to know his Xs and Os but he doesn't know how to motivate his team aside from cliche sayings.

Agreed. He's great for sound bites, speaking, and motivating his team, but in terms of how well his team's offense and defense is executed, he's not good. I will give him a nod for having the balls/knowing that the only way OKC was going to win against the Spurs was to try a ton of different line-ups and matches though. I was very impressed by how much effort the Thunder showed too.

Exactly. People say Doc is one of the best/top coaches in the NBA right now, no one bats an eyelash. But give Spo his due credit, and people wanna hate
