definitely bron. Get that weak throwing the ball crap away.
I'd also go with LeBron James, but I do not find throws to be weak. They still have power, but they also tend to have incredible length and extension alongside them. I think "drop-ins", where the ball is more or less floated into the hoop on a slam, are weak. But there's definitely a place for nasty throw-in's in my book.
Lebron's dunk better than Jordan because Lebron is smaller.
I respectfully disagree. I do not believe one's height always dictates how spectacular their dunk appears to be. I think it can play a factor but it's not absolute. I found Jordan's dunk to be more powerful, more spectacular, more bone crushing, and flat out more demoralizing than James' attempt, whether Jordan is a few inches taller than James or not.
The winner today is LeBron James. Some assorted thoughts:
-One of my favorite aspects of this play is Norris Cole's role in the exchange; specifically, his decision to toss the lob when it arguably made more sense to score the basket himself. Down 13 early to an energized Celtics team, the Heat needed something more than a layup to get the competitive juices flowing. Props to Cole for recognizing the opportunity. -Jason Terry is a notorious shit talker. When recently asked about Miami's win streak, he stated the following: "I'm not really impressed with it or anything else they do." Surely LeBron had caught wind of Terry's comment, and it's fun to assume that this motivated the stare-down. -It's a really strong dunk, one of the better ones we've seen this season. As Kevin Harlan might say, LeBron went up high and came down hard. Jason Terry ate the parquet.
Overall, this is a really good, memorable dunk with a fantastic accompanying narrative. That said, I don't think it's quite as good as a few other jams we've seen this season. DeAndre Jordan obviously set the bar ridiculously high for alley-oop smashes over smaller people, but I'd put Barnes on Pekovic and MKG on Monroe ahead of this dunk, too.
I can't find Jackson's garbage time dunk on Faried, so I suppose I'll be rolling with Jackson's other dunk over McGee. Both were nice dunks... I think I actually liked the one over Faried a little better... but this will do just fine.
