A. Their bench is fine now, I'd say their coaching is a concern though.
B. As good as MIA and OKC are, Lakers starting five is scary talented and versatile. MIA and OKC are a tier below.

Westbrook shits on Nash
Kobe plays like absolute garbage when defended by Durant/Harden/Sefo
Durant shits on WP
Gasol plays like absolute garbage when defended by Ibaka/Collison
Perkins is about the best Dwight defender in the league
Harden shits on the Lakers
Thunder have elite team chemistry
Lakers have replaced just about everyone sans MWP, Kobe, and Gasol
Durant, Harden, Ibaka, and Westbrook are all 1 year more experienced
Kobe, Gasol, MWP, and Nash are all 1 year older

OKC will be hard to beat this season, given they are now battle hardened and can improve their weaknesses - a similar process Miami went through with Dallas.
Lakers - health is a medium grade 'if' for me, given player ages and Dwight's back.
Miami - should come out of the East, especially if Wade and Bosh are healthy all playoffs this time. They have chemistry and know their identity.

Thats explains how a disfunctional Lakers team almost took the series from OKC last season?
Lets not forget how Lakers lost 2 games in a complete 4th quarter meltdown by kobe, in his unclutchest series ever. Series could have very well been 3-1 Lakers at 1 point and I'm not reaching in any way.
This year Lakers got the edge over the Heat and more so over OKC.

The CP3 veto was just a lie to tell the public that he's not pro Lakers.
We all know better.

Stern is not pro Lakers dude, he is pro money....you should know better. Whatever story sells more in his mind is what hes going to arrange officiating for. Lakers haven't been his best script for a while now...
Re: Lets be honest, if Lakers are healthy, there is NO way they lose a series.
The team still needs to blend together...and teams like Miami and OKC have the advantage of playing together for a while. I say the Lakers window is two years with the second year being the key.

Sure
That must be why the ONLY year you can say that Stern supposedly "helped" the Lakers, would be '02, when they didn't even play the Kings in the Finals....right? GTFOH

Don't be mad fool. Just enjoy and be thankful of your franchise's great protector: David Stern.
Re: Lets be honest, if Lakers are healthy, there is NO way they lose a series.
The 2 key trades..... its annoys me that teams do that.
Why make any team powerful like that? It's just stupid to me.
I know its rehashing old news.... but to trade Dwight to Lakers and get what they did?
For the Suns to trade Nash for bad picks?
So frustrating as a non-laker fan.
At least with the Heat, they created the cap space.
Other teams just lined up and accomodated the Lakers with trades?
Arent they competitive?

So.....ONE PLAYOFF RUN, out of the 5 titles Kobe has, is your proof that Stern "helps" the Lakers? That's it....that's all you got? STFU and go sit your ret**ded a**(bigveto) down somewhere
