60's win imo. The best C in NBA history, and the winningest player ever.

The era with the most GOAT's is the 80's, so I'll go with that. Magic/Bird/Barkley/Moses?!

Why is Drexler there instead of MJ in the 80s?

MJ killed during the 80s as well.

i would say the team with the most top 10 players ever is the 2000's team actually

kobe/shaq/duncan = 00's

jordan, hakeem = 90's
russell, wilt = 60's
magic,bird = 80's
kareem = 70's

and if lebron wins 1 more ring and bumps hakeem... thats 4 players from the 2000's era in the top 10... no other era with more than 2

if you read the entire post it says at the top = "era is based on when your top seasons were i.e. cant be on 2 teams"

how can a player play against himself?

jordan is a 90's player... he was an irrelevant chucker in the 80's getting beat down by the piss stains all day

there aren't 9 players above Hakeem

this isn't a knock on Kobe since I don't think he'd be the odd man out, but it's not Hakeem either

MJ should be on the 80's team. How many of the other 80's players played better than MJ did in the late 80's?

sorry this is a somewhat realistic type matchup

a team with jordan cant play a team with jordan

this is like all time spirit matchups in heavin... like a field of dreams scenario

jordans spirit would be on the 90's team

his play in the 80's was meaningless more often than not. he had zero impact on anything but the scoring title race

i'm not making an "on paper" whos better thread. this is a "actual dream matchup what would happen"

I already had a thread on another site saying that the best year for the three all-nba teams was 1995-1996. Many agreed.

1995-1996 featured so many great players in their primes, healthy, and performing well. Here are the three all nba teams that year:

1st Team:

Penny
MJ
Pippen
Malone
D. Robinson

2nd Team:

Stockton
G. Payton
G. Hill
Kemp
Hakeem

3rd Team:

Reggie
Mitch Richmond
C. Barkley (his last yr in Phoenix)
Juwan Howard
Shaq

That 1st Team is amazing. And that 2nd Team would give many years' 1st Teams a good fight. And you still have Shaq, Reggie, and a pretty good version of Barkley left for the 3rd Team.

It is no wonder that the mid 90's had such high tv ratings.

So, that was the best 2-3 year span I've seen.

In terms of whole decades, I don't really know but the 90s would definitely be up there at the top.

Was Kobe's play in 2006 and 2007 meaningless?

if kobe started his career in 2004 and won all his 5 titles in the 2010's instead of 2000's and played till 2018 while averaging slightly worse numbers but impacting much higher as a leader and contender. kobe would be on the 2010's team ( if there was one ) instead of the 2000's

get it?

You could make a case for Barkley and Shaq on the 90s team as well.
