The Los Angeles Clippers today announced that All-Star point guard Chris Paul underwent successful surgery this morning to repair a torn ligament in his right thumb. The injury occurred last month during Team USA training camp in Las Vegas, Nevada.
If he did have to miss the start of the season, who do you think would fill the starting pg role? chauncy with crawford at the 2? or start blesdoe and keep billups at the 2?
8 weeks isn't that bad, right? That's basically training camp and pre-season. Sucks for the fluency of the team though. Clippers fans expected this off-season and training camp to be greatly beneficial for the team's continuity. Injuries to their two best players put an unfortunate snag in those plans.
Now, 12-16 weeks and that's a whole other ball game

Billups is out the first month too
This is where having Mo Williams would have been handy.
So why is that Kobe can play with torn ligaments on his hand? I never had an injury like that but that fact that CP3 is gonna be out a while shows how crazy Kobe is...
When people said he had his thumb up his ass during the playoffs, I didn't think they meant it literally. Yet, when people in sex shops talk about this act (I presume they talk about these types of things because I am merely speculating) they usually ramble on about the never ending ecstasy of prodding your bottom with the pollex, most commonly used as the international symbol for It's All Good.
