I had the original ghosts. Served me well till I got the Huaraches. I'm going to have a tough decision deciding on getting these, the UA torches, or just sticking with one of good ol nike's new releases. At this point I've gave up on Jordans( except for the chris paul line).

I have a pair of Adizero's and they are surprisingly light but they just have too much material on the shoe

Which ones? The D-roses the crazy lights or the ghost? I agree with you, the first ghost had a bit too much material especially in the toebox area. The 2.0 look a bit more streamlined though.
2.5s are pretty sick but the leaked photos of 3's are ugly as ƒuck.
Have you seen the grey/red 3's? Looks much much better than in black.
By the way, I'm surprised they released the Ghost 2 and the Crazy Shadow at the same time. I'd imagine one of them had to be the 2nd half non-sig shoe of 2012-13.

Oh yeah both the ghosts and the Shadows are Josh Smith shoes right?

That's right. The only noticeable difference between the Ghost 2 and Shadow 2 (as per my mates on the other side of the world), is that the Ghosts are a little lighter and use a different sprintweb.
But in terms of actual features, both shoes have Torsion, and the new S-sole. Really baffled by this release
Just got the ghost 2's, after balling in them I have blisters on the outer sides of both of my pinky toes, anyone else experience this? Pretty annoying, I hope they mold to my feet. regretting not getting the new hyperfuses
