i get the impression, maybe i'm wrong, but that a lot of people within the sixers org beleive that Bynum is lazy and unmotivated to get back to work. If thats true, why would they throw this guy big money?

To GOBB's credit, he did flip his script pretty quickly... I think maybe even before Bynum's bowling incident.

He seemed to realize not long after this that depending on Bynum for team success is maybe not the best idea in the world. The Lakers had the luxury of using him as just one of several important pieces and they could still win without him. The Sixers put a lot of eggs in that Andrew basket and the results speak for themselves.

So glad the Cavs didn't make a move on him. I don't think I'd even want him to re-sign after this debacle.

GOBB, you fruitcake. You still haven't paid what you owe for losing our avy bet after the Celts booted the Sixers from the playoffs last year.

Can't say I'm shocked.

While the thread was started for douchebag reasons, it seems like he probably doesn't give a shit about how bad the team is doing this year because the whole point was to take a risk. He wanted to either have a great season with Bynum, or lose him in free agency and tank for the chance to get a decent draft pick like Kyrie. Bynum didn't pan out, so I'm guessing that GOBB is keeping his fingers crossed for that draft pick now.

That's all fine and good, but you also have to consider the otherside of the argument which isn't directly illustrated in this thread.

The reason he pointed out Cavs fans in particular in this thread topic was a month-long debate over what Cleveland should give up to get Bynum. If you remember, for a few weeks there, it looked like the Cavs may be the other team involved in the Magic-Lakers deal.

He thought the Cavs should give up whatever it took... Including Varejao, Thompson, Waiters and picks if necessary. It was absurd.

Of course, no Cavs fans on here agreed with him and we got into some pretty lengthy back-and-forths. That is the reason I bumped this thread last night.

Cavs didnt take the risk and they are still losers. Thats funny.
