Did you catch that game last night? Arenas owned Nash. Gilbert owned Nash the way a gray haired lady owns an incontinent old lap dog.
The only stats you need worry about are these:
Arenas – 31 points
Nash - 27 points
Case closed. No other arguments required.
But, if you still aren't convinced, think about this. Nash only took 13 shots compared to Arenas 25 shots. Ha, what a joke. The reason Nash only took 13 shots is that is all he can be trusted to take. If the coaches trusted him more, they wouldn't force Nash to turn all those easy shots into assists. The Sun's coaches would far rather have Marion take a jump shot from the outside than let Nash take an easy layup to the hoop. That's the only reason he gets all those garbage assists.
Those 25 attempts by Arenas shows just how much the Wizards trust their man.
In your face Phoenix fan. The numbers don't lie. Not only does Arenas score more points, he is trusted to take more shots. I think this pretty much wraps up the MVP for my man Gilbert.
Great post. Please stick around and post on insidehoops constantly. We need more of you
Though, keep in mind some people on forums are kids that can't hang with the sarcasm yet, so just to be safe, putting a <sarcasm> or something helps the kiddos.

It's a new poster. He might actually believe these things.
Oh, I believe alright.
I believe the Nash worship on this board is way out of control. That's why I'm so gratified when somebody like Arenas shoves 31 monster points down Nash's gaping yaw. How great is that.
Does Nash score more points than Arenas? .....Not even close.
And since points are the only thing that matters in basketball, we can all agree that Nash is overrated and Arenas is underrated. And there's nothing I like more that watching the underdog get his due.
arenas owned nash ? lmao, arenas shot 10/25 while nash shot 11/13, had 14 assists and his team blew the wizards away.
You obviously don't understand how to cherry pick statistics. People who really understand basketball understand just which statistics to ignore - and when to ignore them.
Today I choose to ignore assists. Thus my contention that Arenas destroyed Nash is still valid.

even without assists arenas only had 4 more points and he took 12 more shots, and his team was destroyed in front of their own fans, nash wins, game over.
