Magic trade Dwight Howard to Lakers in 4-team deal

Big fan of Harrington but this trade wouldn't make us the team to beat which is the whole point of trading for dwight. Guess depends who else we add

BTW, unrelated but for Net fans hoping for this to fall apart so they can swoop in, Brook Lopez who it is clear Orlando is not high on, has a trade kicker in his contract so his compensation goes up if traded.

Lakers should be patient with the Howard talks IMO. As is stands right now, they have a pretty good team, and they should give Nash time to work with Gasol, and Bynum. Nash has never had the luxury of having two tall, skilled big men. Gasol can space the floor on the pick and roll, creating space for Nash to penetrate and either kick to Gasol, or draw defense and drop the ball to Bynum under the hoop. Oh yeah, and that Kobe guy will still be around too. I honestly don't see Howard as this huge need in order to make it back to finals.

I think ultimately the three way with either Houston and Cleveland winds up happening in the next few days and this is a leverage ploy OR this is a very very incomplete look at what is going on and the real trade makes more sense.

lakers would probably get jrich or hedo, and should try to ship out artest, but i dont see them improving with said deal...gasol/bynum duo up front w/ nash is better

wonder what happened to magic not wanting players and just draft picks, though i can see minny dealing w/ magic dropping a few picks and a non-white player for gasol.

props to philly if they can land bynum, that is a young athletic team w/ serious potential

i dont see how denver gets any better, afflalo has good potential and harrington has been great for that team

I don't think LA views Bynum as a good long term risk with his health, and his attitude. They might even be afraid he just is so random he might leave at year end.

Harrington is more of a stretch 4 than Jamison. Im guessing they want him to be dwights new Ryan Anderson. Jamison has far better midrange game than Harrington
