SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- The Sacramento Kings waived veteran forward Maurice Taylor on Tuesday.
Taylor, a 10th-year pro, played sparingly after signing with the Kings shortly before training camp. He played for the Houston Rockets and the Los Angeles Clippers before spending the past 1½ seasons with the New York Knicks.
Taylor appeared in 12 games with the Kings, averaging 2.0 points in 8.6 minutes.
Don't forget that he was bought out by New York, -then- signed with Sacramento.. so he was cut by -two- ****ty teams this year.
New York is different. He had a big contract and they didn't think they were going to be able to move it, even though it's expiring at season's end. Has less to do with his play. But not a lot less.

Atleast we can get a good lottery pick who can hopefully be a building block to go along with Martin, which is better than being a mediocre 1st round and out team.
Anyway I think it's done to free up money(if someone picks him up before he clears waivers right?)/time for Justin Williams who has played really well in a small amount of time. Hope it's been done to make room for a trade though, that'd be awesome.
The Kings were at 15 with Taylor, now they're at 14 guys.
They can make a trade in which they get one more guy than they give.
IF a move is coming - and I have no idea if one is - then it's probably for Miller or Bibby, who have bigger contracts, and not for Artest (who'd most likely be involved in a Maggette-type deal where the contracts work out straight-up).
esp. if they were playing Scoreless Williamson (who spent most of his NBA career as a 3) over him at the 4. Now granted my boy corliss is a much better player, but still
