Because Camby can't stay healthy long enough. He was all but assured to be the backup Center last year until he got hurt with his hand and hamstrings.

Scoring is a HUGE advantage. Amare averages 19 compared to Camby's 12 . . . despite the fact that Camby averages more minutes then Amare.

Amare's assist numbers aren't nearly as good as Camby's because he has the best passing PG and one of the best passing F in the game on his team. When he gets the ball, it's his job to score, not kick it out to Melo.

Once again he gets less TOs because his role in the offense is almost non existant. He has almost no offensive game to speak of.

He gets a slight edge in blocks (averages 1 more a game then Amare) and an edge in rebounds (although Amare is at a solid 9 rebounds in only 30 minutes).

Breaking their games down like you did I could say Caron Butler > Kobe, because Caron does a lot things better then Kobe, but they are small things like rebounding the ball and stealing.

Bottom line is Camby averages 7 less points in more minutes and the game is about scoring. 12 points per game and 12 rebounds a game isn't all-star numbers unless your team is really good or you anchor an amazing defense. Camby is on the worst defensive team in the entire league, so that's a no.

Oh an also . . . Amare shoots 60% from the field, Camby 47%.

WOW...You think 1 block is measly? haha

Amare's field goal % is high because all he does is dunk

He averages six more points then Camby when Camby is the 5th scoring option on the nuggets, while Amare is the 1st.

Camby on the Suns would be amazing. All those guards who penetrate will now alter their shot basically every time they drive into the lane.

But Amare is no slouch himself. His help D is getting much better, but at this point I'd take Camby.

you are a dumb bandwagon fan...who does not know how the suns defense works...or how important amare is to this team

I'm no Memphis fan but your acting as if +6.5 points per game are huge in 3 minutes more when Amare is a top option on the Suns while Camby is the 4th/5th option on the Nuggets. Not to mention Camby gets +2 dimes, which can equal up to 6 points[two treys], making the differential in points at only .5, then add in Camby's + 1 block, taking away 2 points, which makes him more effective on the score sheet. Try again, I swear, I thought Laker fans were bad, Suns fans are surpassing them FAST. Sure your winning and that's good, but to say a scorer > an all around player that can score is like saying Jamal Crawford > Bruce Bowen.

STATMAN, look at the STATS MAN. Camby owns Amare, Why don't you argue about how the suns have a better record since thats all you really have on your side.

are you kidding me...your logic sucks...you do know that the only stats you took from amare were points but you added in cambys points,blocks,assists...get the hell out of here with that logic....the suns also have a very balanced team so they are not looking to amare all the time

Can you read? My logic sucks, talk about your own. 'Scoring determines who's better'. That's the stupidest sh!t ever. I didn't bring in Amare's blocks, points and assists? Then why the hell did I put "Camby gets +2 dimes" and "Camby gets +1 block"? Think about it, and before you talk crap, make sure you know what to say. I swear, Suns fans are starting to slowly surpass Laker fans in homerism.

Other teams have to changed their whole defense to deal with Amare Stoudemire. He has a very big presence on offense and his defense is much improved.

No one changes anything when dealing with Camby. Defensive presence? **** outta here with that ****. The Nuggets are among the top 5 worst teams in the NBA in defense. The whole damn NBA.

Oh I guess he scores less because he has AI and Melo on his team . . . good thing they've only played 1 games together. Camby doesn't score because he CAN'T, not because he's the last option in the starting lineup.

Camby's averaged 14 points in almost 38 minutes without Melo and JR Smith for the most part! Nope, not all-star numbers when your team is like 4 games over .500. Sorry.

No no, you're right. The team that is barely in the playoffs definately deserves 3 all-stars. Bravo.
