They've got the exact type of offense that can give Alabama some fits. A&M showed that. A&M has a better QB and better offensive line but Oregon has better backs and a really good QB in his own right. I think A&M is a little better right now than Oregon, but I do think Oregon could give Alabama a fight. Georgia gave Alabama a good fight and nearly beat them in the SEC Championship Game.
There's probably 10 other teams that would play Alabama better than this. And I'm not just talking about on a one game basis. This game is just proving that, while they deserved to be here, Notre Dame put together one of the least impressive undefeated seasons in a long time -- by a big name school playing a schedule of their caliber.
By name brand only, they arguably had the hardest schedule.
this is pitiful. they should ban scrub teams like notre dame from EVER playing in the championship. And teams like K-State.

Thanks in large part to ESPNs announcing crew, McCarron's girlfriend started today with less than 600 twitter followers. She now has over 80,000.
90,185 to be exact. I had her page pulled-up, forgot about it, and after 20 minutes or so just now refreshed it and she went from 86,000 and change to 90,000 and change. She'll be at 100K+ by the end of the night.
What's scary is that (I think) Alabama will return mroe starters from this defense than they did from last year's defense where they lost 8 or 9 starters.
Oh, and they get their QB, two stud RB's, and best WR back. They'll have to replace some offensive linemen, but I'm guessing Saban has some redshirted former 4 and 5 star linemen waiting in the wings that will be future 1st and 2nd round picks. This is like that run Pete Carroll had at USC 10 years ago, but better.
