Default Who else still saw OKC getting past Memphis without Westbrook?

on the real...

I still thought OKC was gonna play great defense and have great energy...

I thought KD was gonna get everyone involved and take over the 4th quarters/crunchtime..

I know RW is a great player....but even with Westbrook and Harden OKC barely beat Memphis in 7 games...

I'm shocked how much OKC played flat at home......how much KD struggled the last few games.....how much thier defense failed in crunchtime.

Going by all the " online hard core fans" .....you would have thought Westbrook's injury would have made the team/Durant play more efficeint ( without the shot taking/overdribbling)

and as for the basketball illiterates......who say only " stacked teams win"....KD has played on a stacked team for the last 4 years.....and never won anything....

just as many other great stars in NBA History.....many stars played on Stacked teams and never won.....

The best team won simple as that. Highly debatable if Westbrick didn't get hurt if his presence would have made them a better team then Memphis is now.

OKC just didn't have any answer to Gasol/Randolph. Probably would of won maybe an extra game or two with Webstrook. Maybe not, I don't know, I wouldn't go as far as saying either team would of won in 5 games though.

True....

and people act like Westbrook made a huge diffrence??....

all the games were within 2 pts in the final minutes!!...OKC barely lost....

They barely won with Harden and RW!! 2 years ago

I didn't see it. Memphis plays too good of defense for one man to beat them... and I didn't have faith in Martin or Ibaka to step up their offensive games.

but every game was within a few points in the closing minutes....

so " 1 man" came really close to beating them...even though it wasn't 1 man at all.

OKC's bigs are too offensively challenged. Durant had no margin of error without Westbrook. So no.

even with Westbrook ....KD has no margin for error....

again....

It was a close series before...with Westbrook and Harden...it was a close series this year...

I still thought OKC was gonna get past Memphis on the simple fact...that Durant would have the ball in Crunchtime more often...rather then Westbrook......considering 99% of the people thought of OKC as stacked that means they could still play great....and they did.......all the games came down to the wire......watching teh series I never felt Memphis was overwhelmingly better.

This series should have been a sweep.

I thought they had a chance but were obviously the underdogs in this one.

You ****ing clowns

OKC had this series in 6 max before GOATbrook went down. He makes every single player on this team better when he's on the floor and if you actually watched this series you'd see that. OKC is a completely different and shitty team without him.

I could have seen that MAYBE if westbrook was out for most of the regular season. Because OKC would have had time to adapt and would have been forced to adapt.

But losing westbrook mid-playoffs? I'm surprised they weren't swept by Memphis. It's too big of a change, too quick, too much to adapt to.

I gave them a shot. They got trampled on - but it's not because of talent, it's because of poor coaching and poor structure. The Grizzlies aren't that talented.
