Grizzlies owner says team had a good year
Memphis Commercial Appeal:
Grizzlies owner Michael Heisley braced himself for a wrecked season because of serious injuries at the start and having to recover on the fly.
Now that the Grizzlies' 2011-12 campaign is officially done, Heisley called what they achieved "miraculous."
"It's pretty shortsighted to think that one game defines our season," Heisley said. "If anybody thinks I'm moping today, they're dead wrong. We had a good year."
The Griz suffered a disappointing Game 7 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday in FedExForum. But they posted a 41-25 record in the regular season, setting a franchise record for the highest winning percentage (.621) that earned them the fourth seed in the postseason.
