Wow, I missed this, but Gin is a good example of the current players. Harden is also of the quieter complete players list. Obviously Lebron would qualify in a merit system type of complete game as would Wade. And both would be among the best in the fewest weaknesses game as well for current players.
I know if you gave a point system for everything thing - scoring, rebounds, assist, defense, skills, fundamentals, gifts, tools, talent, qualities, production, efficiency etc. and attached an application value -bad, below average, average, good, great, elite with a deduction for weaknessess -Wilt would win with MJ right behind him. If you said least amount of weaknesses with some strengths its KG for me. No weaknesses across the board maybe Pippen fights KG there.
KG played "Point Forward" at times for Minny. In terms of being good at nearly every facet of the game, I think he has a solid case for the most complete player ever. Pretty amazing for a 6-11 (or 7-0) player to excel at so many skills.
Dirk and McAdoo would certainly have to be on lists for "complete" players, albeit with a couple of weaknesses, each.
Rick Barry was also mentioned. He was the floor leader of the Warrior teams of the 70's.
