Great point.
We already have our RJ replacement = Kawhi
if Manu were to somehow go down we would atleast have S-Jax to fill in.
Do you know how high the expectations were for RJ when he came here? He was one of the biggest dissapointments in the Duncan era. Now S-Jax gives us a different look, a little better defense, and an overall improved chance.

O trust me I know lmaoooo I was the one always saying the Spurs just need to get used to RJ'S game until I found out he just sucks
This might give you guys the big 4 you thought you had with RJ

I guess, and Jackson only has one year on his contract.
Real question is why the hell does Golden State take on Jefferson for 2 years? He's not the trouble Jackson is, but that's too much contract and they make exactly the same salary.
Edit: This is actually a very good trade for San Antonio. Duncan is gonna re-sign for a much smaller amount and he could always re-sign after they try and go after a free agent (if there is one). One more year of Jackson is no big deal. He'll be the other SF, alongside Leonard. Warriors are better off right now...maybe even next year. But the fact that they have to deal with him a year after that...I don't think I get it.

Re: 2012 Trade Deadline Deal- GS trade Stephen Jackson To Spurs for Richard Jefferson
Although this trade isn't the sole factor in it, I'm willing to say this: the Spurs could be the sleeper to come out of the west this season. Similar to what happened with the Mavericks last year... they're slowly adding more and more depth without giving up any integral pieces, all while quietly holding onto one of the best records in the league. Losing Ford to retirement wasn't even that big of a blow, Splitter/Leonard/Neal are playing great. I wouldn't be surprised if the Spurs wound up in the Finals once again.
