Did Carmelo Anthony reach his full potential

Like i was watching some Melo highlights when he was young and he was a great athlete deadly first step strong as **** great leaper http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4JfSqDDbVw&feature=fvsr
with his size/skills/athleticim he should be a top 5 player and a lot more consistent

he normally looked pudgy, but this year he looks too fat.

melo needs a coach willing to play inside/out offense with melo in the post to reach his full potential. he is deadly in the post and always has been. that is where he is better than lebron, durant, and pierce.

d'antoni might be able to get him to play better team basketball, but he is marginalizing him by basing our offense around lin pick and rolls. melo has been getting more post-up possessions lately (and statistically those possessions have been very efficient), but still a lot of his offense comes from cuts and dribble drives. I really would like to see Melo play next to Andrea Bargnani or someone like him under a coach who plays half court style one day.

He looked his best in '08-'09 I think. Very lean. Like a nice cut of buffalo loin.

I know plenty of people blame Iverson for stunting the development and the growth of Melo. It does sound reasonable since Melo was playing his best ball in the 2006-2007 season before the Iverson trade was made.

Why can't Melo be a good defender he is strong has long arms and on offence he is very quick

as a player...yes

he can score with anybody and against any kind of defender, he's generally clutch and makes his free throws


he's a decent passer too

Yes. The overrating has stopped so people place him where he deserves to be put.
I think he's like Robert Horry from what I hear.
People always say he makes clutch shots, but I don't know.
Wonder if he'll do it in the playoffs.
