8 point game in the Finals.....followed by another 8 point game.....followed by a 12 point game....Boston wins the NBA Championship...24 year old prime Bird is the 3rd best player maybe 4th best.

Larry did not shoot well in the 1981 Finals but....
He did Average 15.3 RPG (against Moses), 7.0 APG and 2.3 SPG
Thats what you call Switch Style of Play In Order to Win (something Bryant dosen`t have after missing alot of shots) as he became the 1st Stealer and Rebounder for the Celtics (2nd after M.Malone for the series), Lead the Finals in Assist aswell

That's great, but at the end of the day, in order to win basketball games, somebody's gotta put the ball in the basket.. It seems like nowadays people are actually underrating the scoring part of the game.

The Objetct of the Game is to Win and You Can Do That Throug Various Vays such as Scoring, Rebounding, Defense, Creating For Others and Assisting etc.
Larry Bird was not having a good series shooting so he managed to average 15.3 RPG and Create for others in 7.0 APG. He was also the Best Defender for the Celtics.
Bird Lead to Play-Offs in DRT in 1980 and 1982 and he was up there in the Top 10 in 81 and 84.
Now in the 1986 Finals: Probably one of the Greatest Final Performances Ever for a SF. He averaged 24 PPG, 9.7 RPG, 9.5 APG and 2.7 SPG

With 7 apg, it's pretty obvious there were players, other than Bird, who took over the scoring load.
