Scoring is going to be a problem regardless. Don't really have a go to guy. I'd be more concerned with the D though. If they could play D they might be able to run and to get some easy baskets.
Steve Luhm: One thing to keep in mind: Sloan was always the conservative, stay-the-course guy. I think Kevin O'Connor is more willing to change things.
Let's hope that's true. They need some big changes. The sooner the better.
Steve Luhm: In my opinion, the Jazz's best players through two games have been 1). Millsap, 2). Hayward, 3). Kanter.
Don't think there's much doubt about Millsap as should be expected. Wasting away on the bench unfortunately. After that does it really matter? Kanter certainly isn't a stiff though.

Scoring will be a problem regardless, and I'm concerned with D too. However their two best scorers aren't the reason their defense is awful. It's Harris, Miles, Hayward, and to a lesser extent Watson and Bell.
As for changing what they're doing, that'd be stupid at this point. Changing your gameplan after two bad games is what the worst coaches do. The only problem is they don't really seem to have an offensive plan in the first place. It's like Corbin took all the good parts of Sloan's offensive and just left the bad... it's pathetic....
However, I'm not going to judge them off two games. I really doubt they play this badly all year....
David Locke: Not a good trip is an under statement but worth noting I believe the Jazz played two of the 4 best teams in West to open the year
That remains to be seen but the Lakers playing 3rd nite in a row and Denver much like the Jazz without a star. They need to compete with those teams at least.
David Locke: Problem is that down like this these minutes are not good developmental minutes for Burks and Favors - this is garbage time
It's not the ideal situation but as they say these days it is what is. They aren't going to have much practice time and I don't think they should just throw away the season to let them play but based on what we've seen they deserve a shot if the vets aren't getting it done.
Burks showed a lot. I'd guess he'll get more of a look next game based on what he showed. Evans should too based on what we've seen. I think Tinsley should get a look but unless they move Harris to the two that might not happen. Favors wasn't in at the end because he's a starter!
