Default the lakers is a team full of players living on reputations

everybody on the team's basically a shell of themselves but our expectation of them is still stuck in their past glory.

Derek Fisher is not some elder statesman good lockeroom guy. He's probably the most selfish shot jacker in the game.

Kobe is no longer a great one on one defender and his ability to close has also diminished greatly.

Pau Gasol is not a great 2nd option, he's an above average PF and a good role player.

Ron Artest is now primarily a hustle player that should be spending more time in PF.

The lakers can really benefit by showcasing the young talent making a trade for Dwight and tanking to get a high draft pick. Lakers won't win the chip this year and the benefit from being a 4th seed or 5th seed only to get ousted is almost zilch. n

I agree with this part the most. Its time for this organization to think about their future regardless of whatever Kobe thinks. They are not contending for a championship with their current roster. ANY deal for Dwight should be done if presented.

You guys need a PG more than anything. The front court will be fine once Bynum gets back.

I don't agree about Pau. He's still an excellent player and one of the best big men in the league.

He is still a legit #2 guy on a championship team.

Yup, you're right, Kobe is just completely lying about having a torn ligament in his wrist. It's all a conspiracy.

And in other news, there is a concentration camp under the Denver International Airport.

well this is all true, they are living off of their past glories. But for a while, that can work because they still have experience. You can't teach experience and that does count for something.

you still dont get the point of my sarcasm do you?
the point is... kobe would play like he played today even if he never injured his wrist... thornton would still get by him 24-7 and he would have still not moved the ball / involved his teammates down the stretch of the game and he would have still get blocked and contested the way he did tonight........ unless his wrist somehow slows down his legs and IQ to............

i just hate excuses.... and you kobe fans (not all but most) LOVE IT.... ALL players play with some type of injury... and most of them dont show it or talk about it at all... if a player is in the game... then he is as healthy as he can be..
