He did have one of the worst NBA finals of all time. 29 ppg means nothing if you have terrible shooting. Anyone can get 29 ppg on a billion shots. Just compare Kobe's 2010 finals performance with the other recent finals MVP and you will see how awful it was.

Kobe 2010: 29-8-4 on 41FG/53TS
Pierce 2008: 22-5-6 on 45FG/59TS
Duncan 2005: 21-14-2 on 42FG/47TS
Billups 2004: 20-5-6 on 51FG/57TS
Post Gasol's numbers during the road games, then come back and tell me he was the "real" FMVP.

Even if Gasol hypothetically did win Finals MVP over Kobe, it's not like it would have been a big deal anyway. Finals MVP isn't that prestigious of an award and plenty of non-elite players have won it, although it is a boost for a players legacy. All MVP of the Final series of the playoffs is what ever player has the best overall numbers for 4-7 games on the winning team, with the only exception being 1969. Parker won FMVP over Duncan, Maxwell won FMVP over Bird, Worthy won MVP over Magic, Heck, even John freaking Starks came within one shot of winning a FMVP over Patrick Ewing. etc. etc. and it never made a diffrence, so why would Pau getting MVP over Kobe in 2010 matter? But he didn't anyway.....Kobe rightfuly won so the whole thing is moot.

And Kobe stans are some of the dumbest people on the board, so it evens itself out. That particular comment was pretty dumb, but seeing some of the other things posted about Kobe, casting him in a negative light, were actually valid points. Yet you rushed to post them in the"dumbest things ever posted" thread.

Yeah but think of it this way- In the 5 NBA finals he has won, Kobe has only performed the best in 1 of them. What does that tell you?

How in the world can you argue Kobe over Gasol?? Gasol was EASILY the 2010 finals MVP. That is one of the worst finals MVP snubs in NBA history.
That 10 ppg difference is too big to make a case for Gasol. Even when you look at rebounds Kobe was only 3.6 RPG less while being a guard compared to a 7-footer. Assists? Even. So in the three main stats Kobe has the edge on 2 of them and one of them being a huge gap while Pau's big advantage is Rebounds, but it's not even that big. Also check the performances on the road.
