i think once he gets older and finds out what basketball is really about he'll be a solid PG, but that will take a while. My prediction is he'll get there by the age of 28-30
the guy is on his 3rd coach in three years, what he needed most in his first couple years was stability and the trailblazers surely didn't supply that and with the rumblings about rivers job it looks like he won't get it in the near future in boston... he needs time with the celtics or whoever to find his niche and grow from there...
if he's so bad send him to the Cavs. they need a PG in the worst way and he's friends with Lebron.
If Ainge could get Varejao or Gooden for him I wouldn't mind. Probably can't, though. I don't think his game would compliment James's in the least, friends or not. James' pg ideally can shoot and defend and doesn't need the ball. Exact opposite of Telfair.
Its the truth. NY PG's are overhyped. If Sebastian Telfair came from Texas he wouldnt have been as hyped. Everytime a PG is from NY you're expected to open your eyes wider, rush to the playground/court or nearest TV to watch them. For a city that claims its the mecca of streetball they also claim they produce the best PG's. Lets not act like NY and NY'ers in general arent arrogant, cocky, concieted human beings especially when it comes to talkin PG's.
And to jump offtopic...Felipe Lopez the most hyped NY'er in recent memory. Mr Sports Illustrated. Mr flirting with playing in the NBA and skipping college. Mr all world. Kid crashed and burned.

What NYC PG never reached the level of play people expected from him?

He also suffered leg and back injuries at St John's. Little unfair to expect the world from a guy that clearly lost a significant part of his athleticism by his sophmore season in college.

BS. He was never that good to begin with. Do not even blame injuries.
