Trade scenario:

Philadelphia gets

Ty Lue
Esteban Batista
Trade exception

Atlanta gets

Andre Miller

The Hawks get the point guard they need to get them into the playoffs, while the Sixers get cap relief and a solid point guard to run the team.

And philly is trying to tank just as much as they are trying to get good contracts. An expiring deal of a player who sucks would be a dream come true for them. Maybe throw in a secondround pick and its a wrap.

The only expiring deals the Rockets have are:

-Dikembe Mutombo (2.2 M)
-Bob Sura (this is assuming he retires, therefore the rest of his salary which this year is 3.8M and next year 3.8M would come off the cap and insurance would cover the rest of his salary as well).
-Scott Padgett (I'm assuming a bit below 1M)
-Bonzi Wells (2.1M, doubt the Rockets want to trade him now though)

We can perhaps offer a first rounder. Other than that, there isn't much of anything else the rockets can offer.

Better to move the 30-year-old a half season early than a half season late. The longer Miller, 30, remains with a loser, the less productive and motivated (as his one-year Clippers' tour attests, though it's not necessarily reflected in his stats) is bound to become." I'd love Luther, expirers and/or picks. I'm loving Luther's game. That would be sweet to get some more picks. What a fun draft that would be.

Miller wasn't a good fit for the Clippers, but he will be a great fit for the Lakers.

Why would the Sixers do a deal like this?

1. Because all of these contracts are expirers, so the Sixers can clear money under the salary cap and luxury tax.
2. The Sixers are tanking this season to get a better chance at getting Oden.
3. The Sixers would only do a deal like this if they got a no. 1 pick in return as well. That would give them four number no. 1s this year, which gives them a great opportunity to rebuild their roster quickly.

The Rockets will probably not deal Luther away. I think he has proven he is clutch, and we need guys like him during the playoffs. Plus he is our most efficient three point shooter.

I'd like to see the Kings deal Bibby for someone and replace him with Andre Miller. We have expirings and stuff.

It was a pipe dream on my behalf. Will Philly take anyone from LA?

Yes, if the Lakers threw in a no. 1 pick and the rest of the contracts are expirers.

The point would be to rebuild for the future by clearing salary off the books this season and getting a no. 1 pick to either draft another prospect or combine it with another pick or player (Dalembert) to move up in the draft.

Doubt it. Bibby is better than Miller, plus Miller has a long term deal.

The Kings can either re-sign Bibby this summer or let him walk and take his salary off of the books.

I hope your kidding Andre would be a horibble fit in LA he cant shoot and he's not a very good system player at all, he's an open court pg, and there has never been a pg like that that's worked out in the triangle(just ask GP). Oh and c'mon a 1st rounder for Andre on top of a bunch of good role players, and our biggest problem with our points is consistent d which Andre will in no way help.

You said that Philly won't take scrubs in Mimh, Smush, Cook. Yet, they will take Ty Lue, scrubs, etcs?

Miller is better than Smush any day. What the hell are you talking about.

I mean trade Bibby for another player and then use expiring like Williamson+something(not sure what) for Dre. Dre would be a better fit in Sac with Kev Martin cuz he's better passer than Mike and Kev loves to get out on the break. Also Andre has a summer home in Sacramento.
