Good trade for the Grizzlies. Bynum/Randolph front court, Wow.
Why trade Gasol for Bynum? He works great in the hugh low with Zach and will be able to get a contract somewhere around 6 yrs 38 Million...compared to Bynum who is going to demand something around 13 Mil per. when he is a FA...I say stick with Gasol see how your team does with Rudy Gay and try to make a run for OJ Mayo in the Off-season if the price is not too high
When did Gasol become so overrated? Lakers would laugh in the Grizzlies face if they were offered this deal. Bynum is a top 3 C in this league, is in his early 20's and is better at every facet of the game except maybe passing.
I still think they should aim to trade Gasol + ???? for Josh Smith and Hinrich or Teague
why? so they get really bad. Pau Gasol is a top 3 big man in the league and they trade him for those bums.
They should keep the team the basically the same and attempt to add to the supporting cast. They need a shooter at the three position and a point guard that can shoot and defend.
I think it's time that the Lakers limit Fisher's role. Yes he has been great for you guys but he is awful now, bring him off the bench and play him 15-20 mins tops and bring in PG who can shoot and play d he doesn't need to have any playmaking skills whatsoever.

never thought Id say this but they should have keep Farmar. Blake is horrible.

I am convinced that he get a contract rather better than that.
We know Memphis and LA love to make deals. I think both teams get better. Bynum would be a nice defensive compliment next to Randolph, and I think Marc playing with his brother Pau could reinvigerate the Lakers squad. They would have to work a sign and trade, but I'm sure Marc would love to play in LA with his brother, and Bynum would also be playing for a legitimate playoff team.
Plus, how cool would it be to have both Gasol's manning the frontline of the same team?
Why exactly would the Lakers trade a better, younger player for an older, worse player?

Because he's not that much worse, he actually gives a ton more effort than Bynum ever has and he plays a full season. Bynum maybe slightly better but when he spends half of the season either being injured or recovering from being injured he's really not the big an asset. To understand this look at their career numbers and realize Bynum has 3 more seasons in the league than Gasol but is only slightly ahead of him in total numbers.
