And they win 66 games and he wins MVP, beats the still ringless Lebron in the playoffs, and Lebron officially becomes the most overrated NBA player in history over Kobe.
The Grizzlies are in a difficult monetary position at the moment and are going to have to pay Randolph, Mike Conley and, most importantly, Gasol. Gay has a large contract and, by the Cavs exercising their trade exception, the Grizz money problems would be over.
On top of that, they looked great without him in these playoffs.
There are plenty of reasons for Memphis to do it... Throw in a lottery pick for good measure.
You need to just accept the fact that, if we get the top pick, Irving is coming to Cleveland. You don't have to agree with it, but I would hope that you would root for success regardless.
The Cavs pretty clearly want Irving... It is time for acceptance of that fact. Do you honestly think that the Cavs are taking Valanciunas with a Top 4 pick? Kanter is a more likely target than Valanciunas. If you dislike Irving that much, you need to hope that we don't get a Top 2 pick tomorrow.
i dont really care that much about his numbers and all, but id like to see SOMETHING good happen for that team, especially for fans like you who stick around during all-time lows
kinda like when boston was at their all time low, lose 18 games in a row, then in the off-season we trade for ray, which was awesome, then i almost had a heart attack when i found out about kg
not on the same level as ray/kg, but totally know what you're going through

And that's why they will continue to be a sh*tty organization.
YOU WIN THIS LEAGUE WITH TWO-WAY BIGS WHO DEFEND THE F*CKING BASKET, NOT JUMPSHOOTING 6'1 POINT GUARDS.
How hard is this to understand?? Gotdamn, I could build this team for free better than these f*cks who get paid for it. You make this deal and the Cavs immediately become a mid-tier team with no hope of adding the bigs needed to become serious contenders.
Hollins is OK in a limited role off of the bench. I actually don't completely dislike our frontcourt. Neither Hickson nor Varejao have a lot of mileage on their legs and, if healthy, they could develop into a nice defensive duo. Varejao is especially a solid defensive piece who can defend a multitude of players and Hickson has shown flashes that he can be just as athletic defensively as he is on the offensive end.
The main thing for me, at this point, is making this Gay thing happen. If we do that, I will be less concerned with what we choose to do with that other draft pick. We really need a wing who can create.
We really need to hope that the Clips pick ends up being a high one to entice Memphis into this deal. Tomorrow night is going to be nerve-racking. We also have to do something with this trade exception soon or it will be null.
