There are rumors all over Cleveland media that the Cavs are taking a serious look at Rudy Gay. According to the sources that I've heard, the Cavs would use the $13 million trade exception that they got for LeBron James and give Memphis one of their two lottery picks... most likely the one they got from the Clips in the BD/Mo Williams deal.
Here is a link, but if you look around the 'net, there are plenty of other sources reporting this rumor (get on it, Jeff)...
He's a long way off Lebron, but I guess it's a start. I dunno about trading away first round picks though, they'll probably be pretty high picks as well.

The Clippers ended up with the 8th worst record, so the lowest it can possibly be is 11th pick (and the highest it can possibly be, obviously, is No. 1, albeit pretty low odds).
I think that we should pull the trigger if Memphis is willing. We would still have our other lottery pick (in serious running for the No. 1 pick).

He can develop into a better player than lebron in 2 years if he puts in the work.
Then all Cavs need is a defensive coach cause they have good supporting cast to make it into the playoffs.
