Assuming the lockout doesn't effect the free agency, who do you see the Pacers going after this summer?
Someone I'd love for them to go after is Mbah a Moute, who will be a restricted free agent this off season.
He isn't someone who is going to want a lot of offensive touches, but brings it on the defensive end nightly, and has a history with Collison going back to UCLA. I personally think he would be a great improvement at the PF position for us with his height being similar to McBob, but his wingspan and athleticism are a bit higher.
Honestly have no clue, the free agent crop isn't that intriguing for our weaknesses, or really just overall. There's guys like Carl Landry, who I'm a big fan of being a Purdue fan, but I don't see him solving any problems for us.
I think whatever the roster looks like, in terms of big additions that is, next year will be decided via trade this summer, not just outright FA signings. Still a LONG ways to go obviously until we know who's available.
Work a trade for Bass with Orlando , and you have a front court of Hibbert , Grang and Bass ...
that would be a helI of a front court.
My vote is Hibbert backs up Howard at the center spot for All Star game this year... just fun to watch his development.. and by the way isee some of those Bill Walton passes , shots and defense
Kanter ain't gonna be there, he's a top 5 guy. Walker maybe but I'm not spending a 1st round pick on a scoring PG when we just traded for a 2nd year scoring PG and have clear frontcourt problems.
Far as ZBo, no damn way. He'd be in prison in Indy before he even played a game.
Kanter isnt going to be able to play in the ncaa, and reports are that every day he doesnt play somewhere his draft stock falls. Maybe we can land him.
I expect the Indiana Pacers to pursue Eric Gordon this summer, but I think the New Orleans Hornets will match any offer he receives, especially now that they have the top overall pick. They’ll want to put talented, up-and-coming players around Anthony Davis and re-signing Gordon makes sense for them. I don’t think they’ll sign-and-trade Gordon. HoopsWorld
