Default Knicks fans, would you like Melo to be traded?

Discuss.
Of course, this is also assuming he would waive his no trade clause.

Yes. If your team's best player is Carmelo Anthony, you aren't going anywhere. Maybe you will make the playoffs in every two or three seasons and immediately get knocked out of the first round, oh yes I've seen a lot of Knicks fans who are just happy to see them barely make the playoffs and say how the Thunder would've won the title with Carmelo instead of Durant, but they're just idiots. The Knicks should've just let him walk.

Make the playoffs every 2 or 3 seasons? Did you mean 11 out of 12 seasons?

Kind of a silly question.
Cavs fans, would you like to trade Lebron? No. But what about for Durant and Westbrook? YES!!

It matters what you're getting back, for every player, every time.

I'm not a Knicks fan, but I don't want Melo to be traded just to trade him. If Knicks get at least two likely high first round picks, plus some solid prospects or stars, then sure. But the package matters.

Carmelo never led those Nuggets teams. Until last season they were better without him than when he was there. Even their stink team this year is better than the team that has Carmelo. They were just a good, complete team for a while with and without him. Better actually without him.

Such a silly myth that Anthony actually "took" those teams where they went. Fans will believe anything I guess.

I believe in the idea that you never trade "superstars" because it's so hard to get one and you won't get equal value back. But in the Knicks case they won't be winning anytime soon and we might as well get something back for him while his value is high. Get some picks, a nice young player that we can use going forward because I don't see how much of an improvement this team can make with the limited cap space and past draft picks the team had.

Knicks need to rebuild through the draft and that has been the issue over the past decade but they sacrifice long term success by going after awful "marquee" players that make the team worst. Alot of Knick fans think that being an 7th seed and getting swept in the playoffs is a successful year.
