Fairly strong. Lasted 10ish seconds here in Orange County.
Ran straight to the Flat screen and held it tightly in my arms.

What part of OC are you in? We felt it here too in South OC... it was a decent shaker but not enough to get me off the couch. And the flat screen is bolted to the wall.. LOL! But, you do have your priorities straight!

Felt the quake here in la area too but like what mike said, wasn't that bad to get me off the couch for duck and cover, lol.

saying on the eathquake site it's was a 5.0 centered in Hawthorne..

Irvine. At a girlfriends house. I sat for the 1st 3 seconds. Walked to the TV. Looked around. Wondered. Damn this is a long one.
If you are from LA you have felt plenty of earthquakes. Richter scales are grown into our feet.

the quake was downgraded to 4.7, interestingly enough.

my mom lives about 8 miles from the epicenter, and she said it was not that bad... so i guess it just depended on what direction you were at from the quake in terms of where the quake's energy flow went...
