Default The "I still believe in Andrew Bynum thread"

In terms of this post season run, who else still believes in this kid for this year? I know most of you hopfully think he will be back to his best next year when he is actually heathly but who else still has confidence that this kid can give this Laker team something for this post season run? he showed something in game 3 but was back to dissapointing in game 4....anybody have faith in this kid still?

We expect a lot from Drew because we are spoiled LAL fans
and have high expectations all the time......

Drew is only 21... If this was his first year in the league, I think
we all would be very happy with his progress (looking at the
whole year).

Because we are in contention this year, we expect a ton from
everyone....

I still believe in him...

If I can offer Drew on piece of advice: when you get the ball in
the post, toss it back out and get better position, then get the
ball back and look to make a move, or draw the double team and
pass it out. Drew needs to evaluate the situation a bit more, rather
than doing things quickly..... Hold that ball up high and look around.
Once that happens, he will start to recognize when he has the
mismatch and when to pass and shoot..... EArly in this series, he
shot every time.... Now he passes every time.... Take your time
Drew... see the floor as they say.....

I do. But he needs to be aggressive. I don't know how that kid thinks, but I know when I played basketball in high school and college that I took everything personally. I HATED when someone scored on me or tried to thwart my aggressiveness. In fact, I've never been dunked on...he needs to take that same attitude and be physical and put someone on their tail when they come in the lane. I am just some scrub player with attitude, yet he is an NBA player starting on the greatest BBall franchise in the world and has no fire in him yet. GET THE FIRE, BIG DOG. GET THE FIRE !!!

All he needs to do is rebound like crazy, play D, and BOX OUT for a change.

It's in his head. The body only does what the mind tells it to do.

GO Andrew. Show us something, man.
MANS GAME !!

question:
if we are THIS good without him (i.e. championship contenders), then how good would we be if we traded him and his $12m+ contract for one or more players who actually CONTRIBUTE to the team?

If he starts tonite because of Odom's injury, he needs to use it to get back into rhythm.

I still believe.

I still believe it will take until after the playoffs are over and maybe until after the preseason for Andrew Bynum to regain his previous form.

Give us what you can big guy, that's all we can ask.

This Odom injury might be a blessing for this team if we can get past Houston. A lot of it is confidence for Bynum, if he can unwrap himself with that security blanket (in a sense that he knows he doesn't really have to play great for LA to do well) and realize that LA really needs his production now without Lamar; it might be better off for us in the later rounds against Denver and probably Cleveland.

Come on Andrew!

I think we should change the thread into "I WANT to still believe in Bynum thread"

What can I say...the big guy got hurt and missed about half the season. Why are we surprised he is struggling right now? I hope Bynum can just block shots man the paint and get boards. That all we need him for. No more stupid fouls.

Im still probably the biggest Bynum fan.

The same way MJ (mean john) is the biggest Odom fan .

Its unfair to make judgements on players who spend more than half their careers injured.

I have hope because these injuries were caused by other players so you cannot really say he's injury prone.
